Consultation Terms of Service

Last updated To be confirmed

A few details on this page are still being confirmed and are marked To be confirmed.

These are the terms a 1-on-1 consultation at Jeevaniti is given under. They are written to be read rather than to be got past, so please do read them — they say plainly what a consultation is, what it is not, and what you can ask of us.

By booking and paying for a consultation through our consultation form, you agree to what follows.

What a consultation is

A consultation is a conversation with one of our astrologers about your own birth chart, read in the traditional Vedic way, and about the question you arrived with.

  • It is guidance offered for reflection, based on traditional Vedic beliefs and practices rather than scientifically established methods.
  • It is not professional advice. For anything medical, psychological, legal, financial or related to your career, please consult a qualified professional in that field. See our Disclaimer.
  • We do not diagnose, treat or offer a remedy for any illness or medical condition, and nothing said in a consultation should delay or replace medical care.

No guaranteed outcome

Nobody can promise you a result, and we will not pretend otherwise.

  • No outcome, timeframe or event is guaranteed, and nothing said in a consultation is a prediction of what will certainly happen.
  • The astrologer will tell you what the chart shows, what it does not, and where the choice is yours. The decision is always yours, and so is the responsibility for it.
  • We will never tell you that something must be bought before your life can move. If anyone claiming to represent Jeevaniti tells you otherwise, please write to us at hello@jeevaniti.com.

How a consultation is booked and paid for

Our consultation page takes your booking and your payment. It does not pick a time. The time is agreed with you afterwards.

  • You give us your name, a WhatsApp number we can reach you on, your birth details and your question.
  • You pay the consultation fee on the form, by UPI, card or net banking. Payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card and UPI details go to them and never reach us, and we do not store them.
  • Your payment books a consultation, not a particular slot. Nothing in your diary is reserved by it.
  • Someone from our team then contacts you, usually on WhatsApp and within 24 hours, to agree a time that suits you both.
  • You can download a receipt from the page you land on after paying, and we can send it to you again at any time.

If you would rather not pay online, say so — the form offers "Pay later on WhatsApp", and we will arrange the time and the payment with you by hand.

Astrologer availability depends on their own schedule. Where you have asked for a particular astrologer we will do our best to arrange it, and we will tell you plainly if we cannot — in which case you may choose another, ask us to suggest one, or ask for a full refund.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling is free, as often as you need, up to 24 hours before your agreed time. Tell us on WhatsApp and we will find another time.

  • Inside 24 hours we will still try, and we usually can — but the astrologer's time has been set aside for you by then, so we cannot promise it.
  • If we have to move your consultation, we will offer you another time at no cost. If none of them works for you, you will be refunded in full.
  • If you do not join at the agreed time and we have not heard from you, the astrologer will wait, try to reach you, and then release the time. We will always try to rearrange before treating a fee as used.

Cancellations and refunds

The fee is shown on our consultation page before you pay, and it is the amount charged — inclusive of GST, with the tax shown separately on your receipt.

You may cancel and be refunded in full, as long as the consultation has not happened and you tell us at least 24 hours before your agreed time. Write to us on WhatsApp or at hello@jeevaniti.com. No reason is needed.

  • Before a time has been agreed at all, you may cancel for a full refund whenever you like.
  • Inside 24 hours of your agreed time, the astrologer's preparation has been done and the time has been held for you. We would rather reschedule than refund, and we will say so — but if you cannot take the consultation at all, tell us and we will deal with it fairly.
  • A consultation that has been given is, in the nature of the thing, not returnable.
  • If we cancel, or cannot offer you a time you can make, you are refunded in full. Always.
  • If something has gone wrong — the call did not happen, the line failed, the consultation was not what we described — tell us. We will put it right, and that may mean a fresh consultation or a refund.

An approved refund is sent back to the account you paid from, by Razorpay. It reaches most banks within 3 days, and the time it takes is your bank's rather than ours. We do not charge a fee for a refund.

Nothing here limits any right you have under Indian consumer law. The windows above are ours to honour, not a limit on yours.

Recording

  • We do not record consultations, and we do not keep a transcript of one.
  • If you would like to record your own consultation for your own reference, please ask the astrologer at the start. It is their call, and they may say no.
  • Please do not record without asking, and please do not publish or share a recording of a consultation. What is said in one is between you and the astrologer.

What we ask of you

  • Give us your birth details as accurately as you can. The time of birth especially: even twenty minutes can change the chart that is read.
  • Treat our astrologers with the courtesy you would want yourself.
  • Please do not ask an astrologer to predict a death, a medical diagnosis, or the outcome of a legal case. They will decline, and we support them in declining.

A consultation may be ended, without a refund, if someone is abusive or threatening. This has not happened and we do not expect it to, but it is fairer to say so here than to decide it in the moment.

Your details

What we collect, why, and how long we keep it is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: we use your details to arrange and give your consultation, and we do not sell them to anybody.

Our liability

Our liability in connection with a consultation is limited as set out in the Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer law.

If something is wrong

Tell us, and we will put it right where we can. Write to us at hello@jeevaniti.com, or through our contact page, and we will reply in plain words.

If you would rather escalate, our grievance officer is Grievance officer to be confirmed, who can be reached at Grievance email to be confirmed. We will acknowledge your complaint within Acknowledgement window, suggested "48 hours" to be confirmed and resolve it within Resolution window, suggested "30 days" to be confirmed.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the date at the top of this page changes with them. The terms that apply to your consultation are the ones published when you paid for it.
